Power and torque
150kW & 500Nm. The HiLux’s top of the line 2.8L diesel engine gets a muscle upgrade, power is up 20kW, while torque gets a 50Nm bump in automatic transmission variants.
Towing power
Load up. Extra torque and sophisticated towing technology means 4x4 HiLux variants have a 3.5 tonne braked towing capacity[G6].
4x4
The HiLux SR 4x4 Double Cab Auto, SR5, Rogue and Rugged X feature rear diff lock, low range 4WD and Downhill Assist Control[S1].

Front mounted smart cameras recognise certain Australian speed signs and alert you when it's time to change your speed[S1].
Pre-Collision Safety system
Using the HiLux’s built-in camera and radar, the Pre-Collision Safety (PCS) system has been designed to alert you when a frontal collision is likely with another vehicle, pedestrian or Daytime Cyclist, and if required will help you apply the right amount of brake pressure[S1].
